Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) for PrestaShop
Google makes no PrestaShop connector for Data Studio, so your shop's orders get in by one of five routes: Google's MySQL connector, a Google Sheet, a paid connector service, a PrestaShop module or a data warehouse. The built-in GA4 and Search Console connectors are free, but they show what the browser reported, not what the shop sold.

Is Looker Studio now Data Studio?
Yes. Google renamed Looker Studio back to Data Studio on 11 April 2026, and the product is now called Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio). Existing reports, data sources and users moved over with no action needed. Search results and many vendor pages still use the old name, so this guide uses both.
The two editions of Data Studio, from Google's pricing and delivery documentation.
Editions
- Price
- No charge for creators or viewers
- Scheduled email delivery
- One schedule per report, at most daily
- Price
- $9 per user per project per monthGoogle says the price varies with the length of the subscription
- Scheduled email delivery
- Up to 200 schedules per report, up to hourly
For a shop, the free edition is almost always enough. The address is datastudio.google.com, and the old lookerstudio.google.com address redirects to it.
How to get PrestaShop data into Data Studio
Google has no PrestaShop connector, so every route is either one of Google's generic connectors or something a third party built. There are five, and they differ most in what they cost, how fresh the data is and how much of your shop they expose.

Free routes
- What it takes
- A read-only MySQL user, a database reachable from the internet and Google's address range allowed inGoogle lists 142.251.74.0/23 and TLS 1.2 for encrypted connections
- What it takes
- A sheet with one header row and one type per column, filled on a schedule by an exporter or a connector
Paid routes
- What it takes
- A PrestaShop Webservice key and a plan from Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Coupler.io, Dataslayer or ImprovadoSupermetrics asks for GET access on currencies, customers, orders, order_states and shops
- What it takes
- A connector module from Addons that exposes the shop's data to Data Studio
- What it takes
- A tool such as Fivetran that copies the shop database into BigQuery, which Data Studio reads natively
The MySQL route costs nothing, but it means opening your shop's database to the internet. If you take it, give Google a user that can only read the tables the report needs.
What the connector services and modules cost
A connector service costs between nothing and about €50 a month, and a PrestaShop module is a one-off payment of €50 to €250. Addons also lists a free module with no ratings, so read its details before you rely on it.

What the built-in connectors can and cannot do
The GA4 and Search Console connectors connect in a few clicks and cost nothing, but they refresh every 12 hours unless you change it, and they run on Google's API quotas. They also know nothing about your orders.
Limits of the connectors a shop uses most, from Google's Data Studio and Analytics documentation.
Google's connectors
- Limit
- Refreshes every 12 hours by default, or every 4 or 1 hours. Runs on the Data API quotas: 200,000 tokens per property a day and 40,000 an hour on a standard property
- Limit
- Refreshes every 12 hours, not adjustable. Site Impression and URL Impression tables cannot be mixed in one data source
- Limit
- Refreshes every 15 minutes by default, or every 1, 4 or 12 hours
Inside a report
- Limit
- At most 5 data sources in a blend, joined on equality only. A blend cannot be reused in another report
- Limit
- 100 MB and 750,000 rows, truncated beyond that
Why Data Studio revenue does not match your PrestaShop orders
GA4 records a purchase when a visitor's browser sends one, and PrestaShop records an order when the shop saves it. Data Studio draws what GA4 recorded, so every gap below shows up in your report as a different number.
Why GA4 revenue in Data Studio differs from the order list, from Google's GA4 documentation.
Counting differences
- What happens
- In GA4's ecommerce events, tax and shipping are separate parameters next to the value, so a figure that includes them will not match one that does not
- What happens
- A refund is its own event, keyed by the transaction ID. Without it, a refunded order stays in revenue
- What happens
- Revenue breaks if the value is text, has a currency symbol, or the event lacks the value, currency, transaction ID or items
Timing and consent
- What happens
- The reporting time zone sets where a day ends, and changing it affects only future data
- What happens
- GA4 takes 24 to 48 hours to process data, so recent days keep changing
- What happens
- Visitors who decline get no persistent ID. GA4 models the gap only above 1,000 events a day with consent denied for 7 days, and 1,000 consented users a day on 7 of the last 28
Which route fits which shop
Use the built-in connectors if traffic and Search Console are all you need, and add a way to get orders in only when you want revenue in the same report. The right route for orders depends on whether you can write SQL and whether you are willing to open your database.
- You can write SQL and run your own server: the MySQL connector with a read-only user and a custom query that joins orders to their statuses.
- You would rather not open the database: a Sheets export or a partner connector, from about $19 a month.
- You want it managed inside PrestaShop: an Addons connector module, once, with the support add-on.
- You need ad platforms and several shops in one view: a connector service, because that is what they are built for.
When a dashboard you build is the wrong tool
Data Studio is a blank canvas: you choose every chart, join and refresh yourself, and it never tells you what changed. That is the right tool for a custom report and a poor one if you want to open one message each morning and know.
ManteIQ reads your PrestaShop orders with a free read-only module and puts them next to GA4, Search Console and Google Ads in one morning briefing. There is nothing to build or maintain.
See the PrestaShop integration- Orders come from the shop itself, so the figures are the ones in your order list.
- GA4 is checked against those orders, and the missing ones are listed day by day.
- It does not replace Data Studio for a custom chart. We make ManteIQ, so weigh that.
Questions about Data Studio and PrestaShop
- Is Looker Studio now Data Studio?
- Yes. Google renamed Looker Studio back to Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) on 11 April 2026. Existing reports and data sources moved over automatically, and the old address redirects to datastudio.google.com.
- Does Data Studio have a PrestaShop connector?
- Not one made by Google. You connect the shop's MySQL database, a Google Sheet, a connector service that lists PrestaShop, a PrestaShop module from Addons or a BigQuery copy of the data.
- Is Data Studio free?
- Yes. The free edition has no charge for creators or viewers. Data Studio Pro costs $9 per user per project per month and adds Google Cloud support, team workspaces and more scheduled email deliveries.
- Can Data Studio read my PrestaShop database directly?
- Yes, through Google's MySQL connector. The database must be reachable from the internet with Google's address range allowed in. A query returns at most 150K rows, one data source reads one table unless you write custom SQL, and queries can time out after three to five minutes.
- Why does Data Studio show different revenue from my PrestaShop orders?
- GA4 records what the browser sent, and the shop records what it saved. Tax and shipping are separate in GA4, refunds are a separate event, a broken purchase event loses revenue, and the time zone, late processing and consent all move numbers around.
- How often does the data refresh?
- Search Console refreshes every 12 hours and you cannot change that. GA4 defaults to 12 hours and can be set to 4 or 1. A Google Sheet refreshes every 15 minutes by default, or every 1, 4 or 12 hours. A database connector is set between 1 minute and 12 hours, with 12 hours as the default.
- Is there a PrestaShop template in the gallery?
- We did not find one. The gallery loads with JavaScript, so check it yourself before paying for a template, and note that Coupler.io says it has no PrestaShop template of its own.
